Times & Seasons

Going back to an old hymn, we had a choir singing their hearts out!  We also said good-bye to Matt who was with us for a few months and got baptised on Saturday.  He was such a blessing and joy to us.
Pastor Dwayne's message gave insight in how God is working over seasons.  Things don't stay the same always.
There was a pile of lumber on the stage - forcing us down to the floor.  The Legion wants to redo the floor this week.
Prophetic messages came via Mike, Imre and Diane.

We tried to put the drummer on a pedestal behind the worship team, but the idea did not fly! ☺
2 Samuel 6:14 David, wearing a linen ephod, danced before the LORD with all his might, NIV
2 Chronicles 23:18 Then Jehoiada placed the oversight of the temple of the LORD in the hands of the priests, who were Levites, to whom David had made assignments in the temple, to present the burnt offerings of the LORD as written in the Law of Moses, with rejoicing and singing, as David had ordered. NIV
John 4:39-40   39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman's testimony, "He told me everything I ever did." 40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. NIV
Deuteronomy 11:13-14   13 So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today-to love the LORD your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul- 14 then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and oil. NIV
Joel 2:23 Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the LORD your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before. NIV
Zechariah 12:10 "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. NIV
Isaiah 54:1 "Sing, O barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband," says the LORD. NIV
John 4:23 “But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. 24 “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

You thought you can't change? Listen to this "I can" message and grab the truth: You can!
The recording starts with prophetic words by Diane and Earl.  Unfortunately the middle part of pastor Dwayne's message was lost, but there is enough to encourage you.
December brought a lamb to church, now we wonder who is going to bring a lion? ☺

Numbers 13:30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”
1 Samuel 17:31 What David said was overheard and reported to Saul, and Saul sent for him.
32 David said to Saul, “Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.”
33 Saul replied, “You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a young man, and he has been a warrior from his youth.”
34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, 35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. 36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. 37 The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”
Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.”
Exodus 33:14 The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
15 Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. 16 How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”
Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Song:
You are worthy of it all; You are worthy of it all
For from You are all things; And to You are all things
 You deserve the glory!

Go! Signs...

1/7/2018

The Sunday gathering was a time of worshipping and committing to God.  We don't want to be religious, but rather live in the truth of His Word. Pastor Dwayne's message was a study from Mark chapter 16, looking at God's plan to reach the whole world. Quite a few people contributed with encouraging messages. Terese lead the music team that included two Chilliwackers.  We also looked back at the Christmas dinner that was hosted for the community and the New Year's Eve meeting.

Mark 16:9-20 NIV
9 When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. 10 She went and told those who had been with him and who were mourning and weeping. 11 When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she had seen him, they did not believe it.
12 Afterward Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the country. 13 These returned and reported it to the rest; but they did not believe them either.
14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.
15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."
19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." NIV
Psalms 9:10 Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. NIV
Isaiah 49:23b Then you will know that I am the LORD. Those who trust in me will never be put to shame.
Singing at the end:
You are worthy of it all
For from You are all things, and to You are all things
 You deserve the glory
