A new order on Thursday from the BC public health officer suspended all church meetings for the next 2 weeks. So, again, we will do on-line recorded messages.

Muslim Background Believers were almost unknown a few decades ago. This week was the global day of prayer for MBB. There is a link to a video where you can learn more and pray for those who show us what it is to follow Jesus under difficult circumstances. More prayer points and testimonies are at https://MBBGlobal.net/
We are so thankful for all the kids who are coming. They bring also life where they go. See them leaving church for their kidz club.
Mike's message was on how to be more free, or free-er? Mike shared from his experience three steps to help you find more freedom in God: 8:15 Drawing closer to Jesus 12:20 Live in the Holy Spirit 16:25 The Word brings truth (Sorry, there were technical issues with the video. Mike's last prayer is repeated at the end.)
A short but powerful message on the pandemic by pastor Dwayne.
What do we do in all this chaos and conflicting messages? He gives an excellent description of the real "new normal".
Isaiah 62:6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 2:17 "'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Terry Friesen was here again and gave us an overview of what we can trust God to do to the world while the devil is trying to mess up everything. Does your brain put God in a limiting box? What is happening to our world? What is God going to do?
His message confirmed much of what pastor Dwayne had taught us over the last weeks. After the message we listened to "You are My Champion" by Bethel Music featuring Dante Bowe. The lyrics include: "I have the authority Jesus has given me. When I open up my mouth miracles start breaking out" and "You crown me with confidence. I am seated in the heavenly place. Undefeated with the One who has conquered it all". Click here to start a YouTube playlist with the video clips.
Psalm 2:1-6 The Coronation of the King (TPT)
1 How dare the nations plan a rebellion. Their foolish plots are futile! 2 Look at how the power brokers of the world rise up to hold their summit as the rulers scheme and confer together against Yahweh and his Anointed King, saying: 3 “Let’s come together and break away from the Creator. Once and for all let’s cast off these controlling chains of God and his Christ!” 4 God-Enthroned merely laughs at them; the Sovereign One mocks their madness! 5 Then with the fierceness of his fiery anger he settles the issue and terrifies them to death with these words: 6 “I myself have poured out my King on Zion, my holy mountain. Psalm 24:1-7 David’s poetic praise to God (TPT) 1 God claims the world as his. Everything and everyone belongs to him! 2 He’s the one who pushed back oceans to let the dry ground appear, planting firm foundations for the earth. 7 So wake up, you living gateways! Lift up your heads, you ageless doors of destiny! Welcome the King of Glory, for he is about to come through you. Romans 8:18-22 (TPT) 18 I am convinced that any suffering we endure is less than nothing compared to the magnitude of glory that is about to be unveiled within us. 19 The entire universe is standing on tiptoe, yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters! 20 For against its will the universe itself has had to endure the empty futility resulting from the consequences of human sin. But now, with eager expectation, 21 all creation longs for freedom from its slavery to decay and to experience with us the wonderful freedom coming to God’s children. 22 To this day we are aware of the universal agony and groaning of creation, as if it were in the contractions of labor for childbirth. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Proverbs 3:6 Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Ephesians 2:6 He raised us up with Christ the exalted One, and we ascended with him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm, for we are now co-seated as one with Christ! |
