Effects of Revival

Jason Legg and Andrea Quaedvlieg from Kelowna were leading our worship. The church was filled with little kids - what a fun time.
Pastor Dwayne gave a teaching on revivals with the emphasis of the 1904 revival in Wales that started with 17 people and eventually caused jails to be empty and the police having no work to do and pubs closing down due to a lack of demand for alcohol. In 1907 another powerful revival swept thru North Korea. The Welsh Revival of 1904-1905 and The North Korean Revival of 1907.

Acts 2:1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
Psalms 133:1 How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!

We celebrated communion with Ferdi & Marina leading. Pastor Dwayne showed the ways in which the Jews' traditions worked against God's plans. Jesus promised power and life that was seen on Pentecost day.

Matthew 15:1-2 1 Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, 2 "Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don't wash their hands before they eat!" NIV
Matthew 15:6-9 6 he is not to 'honor his father 'with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. 7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: 8 "'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'" NIV
John 20:19-22 19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. 21 Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! Pastor Dwayne Trelenberg's message looked at the various persons under whose ministry revivals have started. It was titled "What does revival look like?" in his series on revival.

Matthew 28: 19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Acts 1:8 ► But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
