It was a time to experience! Marina and David led the worship. Pastor Dwayne opened our eyes about growing up spiritually and we shared God's heart for us.

Worship songs were:
  • Today is the Day -Lincoln Brewster
  • Joyful (The One Who Saves) - Brenton Bro
  • Our God is Greater -Chris_Tomlin
  • Love Is Here - Tenth Avenue North
  • Empty My Soul by Jonothan Helser
  • Find Me In The River - Delirious

Scriptures:
 Matthew 28:19-20 NIV
19 go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in  the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And  surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Matthew 11:28-29 NIV 28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and  you will find rest
for your souls.

Hebrews 6:1 NIV Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ  and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,

 Genesis  1:28-30 NIV
28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it .Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the
ground."
29 Then God said, "I give you e very seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for foo d.
30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground-everything that has the breath of life in it-I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

Matthew 28:19-20 NIV 19 go and  make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

John 14:1-3 NIV 1 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were  not so, I would have told you. I am going there to
prepare a place for you.3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will com e back and take you to be with me that you also maybe where I am.

 Hebrews 9:1-3 NIV (scripture) 1 Now the first covenant had regulations for worship and also an earthly sanctuary.2 A tabernacle was set up. In its first room were the lamp stand, the table  and the consecrated bread;
this was called the Holy Place.3 Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place,

Hebrews 9:6-8 NIV (scripture) 6 When everything had been arranged like this, the priests entered regularly into the outer room to carry on their ministry.
7 But only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.
8 The Holy Spirit was showing by this that t he way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still standing.

John 14:15-21 NIV 15 "If you love me, you will obey what I command.16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you  forever--
17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for  he lives with you and will be in you.
18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.19 Before long, the world will not  see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.
20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father , and you are in me, and I am in you.21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will  beloved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."

It was so nice to have our supporting visitors from Chilliwack with us today.
Ruby Caswell led the worship with some help of the kids.
Pastor Dave Hubert gave a message regarding Walls and Gates.

Picture
Some of the scriptures used are:

Psalms 24:7-10
7 Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty- he is the King of glory. Selah

Isaiah 60:18  ... but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.

Luke 19:41-44
41 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it
42 and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace--but now it is hidden from your eyes.
43 The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.
44 They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you."

Psalms 118:19-20
19 Open for me the gates of righteousness; I will enter and give thanks to the LORD.
20 This is the gate of the LORD through which the righteous may enter.

2 Kings 7:1-20
1 Elisha said, "Hear the word of the LORD. This is what the LORD says: About this time tomorrow, a seah of flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria."
2 The officer on whose arm the king was leaning said to the man of God, "Look, even if the LORD should open the floodgates of the heavens, could this happen? You will see it with your own eyes," answered Elisha, "but you will not eat any of it!"
3 Now there were four men with leprosy at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each other, "Why stay here until we die?
4 If we say, 'We'll go into the city'-the famine is there, and we will die. And if we stay here, we will die. So let's go over to the camp of the Arameans and surrender. If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, then we die."
5 At dusk they got up and went to the camp of the Arameans. When they reached the edge of the camp, not a man was there,
6 for the Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the sound of chariots and horses and a great army, so that they said to one another, "Look, the king of Israel has hired the Hittite and Egyptian kings to attack us!"
7 So they got up and fled in the dusk and abandoned their tents and their horses and donkeys. They left the camp as it was and ran for their lives.
8 The men who had leprosy reached the edge of the camp and entered one of the tents. They ate and drank, and carried away silver, gold and clothes, and went off and hid them. They returned and entered another tent and took some things from it and hid them also.
9 Then they said to each other, "We're not doing right. This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves. If we wait until daylight, punishment will overtake us. Let's go at once and report this to the royal palace."
10 So they went and called out to the city gatekeepers and told them, "We went into the Aramean camp and not a man was there-not a sound of anyone-only tethered horses and donkeys, and the tents left just as they were."
11 The gatekeepers shouted the news, and it was reported within the palace.
12 The king got up in the night and said to his officers, "I will tell you what the Arameans have done to us. They know we are starving; so they have left the camp to hide in the countryside, thinking, 'They will surely come out, and then we will take them alive and get into the city.'"
13 One of his officers answered, "Have some men take five of the horses that are left in the city. Their plight will be like that of all the Israelites left here-yes, they will only be like all these Israelites who are doomed. So let us send them to find out what happened."
14 So they selected two chariots with their horses, and the king sent them after the Aramean army. He commanded the drivers, "Go and find out what has happened."
15 They followed them as far as the Jordan, and they found the whole road strewn with the clothing and equipment the Arameans had thrown away in their headlong flight. So the messengers returned and reported to the king.
16 Then the people went out and plundered the camp of the Arameans. So a seah of flour sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley sold for a shekel, as the LORD had said.
17 Now the king had put the officer on whose arm he leaned in charge of the gate, and the people trampled him in the gateway, and he died, just as the man of God had foretold when the king came down to his house.
18 It happened as the man of God had said to the king: "About this time tomorrow, a seah of flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria."
19 The officer had said to the man of God, "Look, even if the LORD should open the floodgates of the heavens, could this happen?" The man of God had replied, "You will see it with your own eyes, but you will not eat any of it!"
20 And that is exactly what happened to him, for the people trampled him in the gateway, and he died.

Isaiah 62:6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest,

Psalms 87:2 the LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

Isaiah 12:6 Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you."

Isaiah 40:9 You who bring good tidings to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, "Here is your God!"

Isaiah 51:11 The ransomed of the LORD will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Images: What is true?

Pastor Dwayne has continued on the theme of pictures in our minds and hearts.  What is real?

Some scriptures used were:

1 Corinthians 15:49 And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven.

Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

  Hebrews 2:10-11
10 In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.
11 Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.

Romans 8:29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

  Genesis 1:27-28
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

  Matthew 28:19-20
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

  Mark 11:22-24
22 "Have faith in God," Jesus answered.
23 "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
