Joh 10:10 Life and abundance

Titus 3:3 At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures.

1Co 6:12 You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.

Eph 6:11-23 Weapons

John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
Rom 12:
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil.
19 Do not take revenge …
 20 On the contrary:
    “If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”[e]
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

2Tim 2:23 Argue foolish

2Co 10:5 Capture thought, submit

Phil. 4:7 – peace
Phil. 4:8 – think good things

Eph 6:10

James 4:6-7
6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10   For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2Co 12:9-10
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

“Try softer” - John Ortberg “The me I want to be”
Eph 2:10

Luke 10:38-42 (NIV)  At the Home of Martha and Mary
38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him.
39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.
40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things,
42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

We had a fun morning with the Fairview Revival band from Vancouver. Pastor Dwayne told some stories about Keremeos in the Old Days.  "Life is not perfect, but it can be very good."  We give horses people attributes, and often the same with God.

Let us show our appreciation to all mothers.  Thank God for the amazing hearts and abilities He built into women so that they can be the amazing mothers we need.
Worship was lead by the all-men worship team - thanks to you guys.
Pastor Dwayne, shared about Mary, Jesus' mother, looking at the qualities God built into mothers and we read Proverbs 31:10-31.
Other scriptures included:
Philippians 2:5 "You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had."  and Genesis 3:20.

Proverbs 31:10-31

Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?
She is more precious than rubies.
11 Her husband can trust her,
and she will greatly enrich his life.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.

13 She finds wool and flax
    and busily spins it.
14 She is like a merchant’s ship,
    bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household
and plan the day’s work for her servant girls.

16 She goes to inspect a field and buys it;
with her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She is energetic and strong,
    a hard worker.
18 She makes sure her dealings are profitable;
her lamp burns late into the night.

19 Her hands are busy spinning thread,
    her fingers twisting fiber.
20 She extends a helping hand to the poor
and opens her arms to the needy.
21 She has no fear of winter for her household,
    for everyone has warm[c] clothes.

22 She makes her own bedspreads.
She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns.
23 Her husband is well known at the city gates,
where he sits with the other civic leaders.
24 She makes belted linen garments
and sashes to sell to the merchants.

25 She is clothed with strength and dignity,
and she laughs without fear of the future.
26 When she speaks, her words are wise,
and she gives instructions with kindness.
27 She carefully watches everything in her household
    and suffers nothing from laziness.

28 Her children stand and bless her.
    Her husband praises her:
29 “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,
    but you surpass them all!”

30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
31 Reward her for all she has done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.
