Jarius Trelenberg was visiting and shared about his experiences at Bible school. He also encouraged us a lot about what God is doing in Keremeos. We had a full strength worship team, with Jarius as the guest drummer. Pastor Dwayne's Sunday message was: "Celebrating Jesus".

After last week's exciting Cowboy Church, we were back into our "normal" meeting place this Sunday. Ferdi did a skit about pick-pocketing based on John 10:10. Terese and a full worship team lead us and we spent some time on the song "Overwhelmed". Pastor Dwayne gave a message on healing starting from what Christ did for us and how to trust in God's character. Isaiah 53:4-5 4 Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. NIV
John 10:10 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. NIV 2 Corinthians 5:17 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! NIV Philippians 2:12-16 12 Dearest friends, you were always so careful to follow my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away you must be even more careful to put into action God's saving work in your lives, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. 13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him. 14 In everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing, 15 so that no one can speak a word of blame against you. You are to live clean, innocent lives as children of God in a dark world full of crooked and perverse people. Let your lives shine brightly before them. 16 Hold tightly to the word of life, so that when Christ returns, I will be proud that I did not lose the race and that my work was not useless. NLT We continued the Bible study with Mike and Marina leading.
Ria Gillau was our guest on the worship team. Terry Friesen visited to bring a short but very encouraging message; Pastor Dwayne showed the power of a mother from scriptures, and Sheila concluded the Mother's day message. Thanks for a wonderful meeting!
PS Remember Cowboy Church next weekend. Glenda lead the worship with a new song "I am Hephzibah" from Julie Meyer, and Be my everything from Tim Hughes.
Mike and pastor Dwayne lead the Bible study. We celebrated communion with Steve leading - hear the recording. The video clip was "Beloved: The Last Supper - Mike Donehey - Video Journal"
The encouraging message was brought by Ferdi and Marina and we concluded with the video challenging "Bethel Music Moment: You Are Faithful (Spontaneous Song) - Amy Miller". |
