The church without the Holy Spirit

Don't be satisfied about where you are standing - desire to experience more of God in your life.
Today Glenda led the worship with an all male team and it was so good. Jarius gave feedback about his 2 years at Bible School. Pastor Dwayne gave an encouraging message about the role of the Holy Spirit in our churches and personal lives. (For comic relief, there was an unplanned spider hunt included in the sermon.☻)
The video clip we watched at the beginning of the service was "Who's your Daddy?" by Priscilla Shirer.

1 Corinthians 12:8-10
8 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,
10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.
John 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
John 14:26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

When a young new team leads the service, it is not the usual experience! We the Master's Commission team from Chilliwack. The worship time was awesome.
In the recording below, you can listen to testimonies by Emily and Elijah.  The message was brought by Ben.
Click here for more about Master's Commission.  We have a long relationship with their home church, City Life, and we have received lots of support from them over the years.

The experienced mother

Elsie Friesen shared her highs and lows as a mother of 4 kids. It was delightful and encouraging to learn from her wisdom.  Our worship team had a fresh new member, and Levi blessed us with a song.
(Apologies for the poor sound quality with Elsie's song, but there is a good part after the song.)

The young ladies lead the worship today, starting with a skit based on Breathe by Jonny Diaz. (If you are very busy, then you'll appreciate this song.) During the worship time there were quite a few uplifting messages.
Pastor Dwayne message was on the relationship between Jesus and His friends. You can be His friend too.

John 15:14-15 NIV
14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
Luke 1:28,38 NIV    28 The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."
38 "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.
