We have received Daniel and Jalene's news from Jerusalem and Debra shared it in church. If you would like to hear from them, contact them on FaceBook or write to hearts 4 israel@gmail.com

In anticipation for next weekend's meetings, we had another message about the roll of prophets.  On Wednesday night we plan to have a prayer meeting for preparation.
Amos 3:7 Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.

Ephesians 2:19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household,

1 Corinthians 12:8-10
8 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,
10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

1 Corinthians 14:39 Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.

1 Corinthians 12:29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?

1 Corinthians 12:4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.

Ephesians 4:8 This is why it says: "When he ascended on high, he led captives in his train and gave gifts to men."

1 Timothy 3:2 Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,

1 Corinthians 14:3 But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort.

Acts 13:1-3
1 In the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul.
2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."
3 So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.

1 Timothy 4:14 Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.

Sunday 30 March 2014 notes
Pastor Dwayne Trelenberg

There are cultural difficulties/differences.
Amos 3:7
Ephesians 2:20
The office of the prophet was moved forward from the Old Testament to the New Testament.
The church is built on the foundation of the prophets and apostles.
1 Corinthians 12:10
1 Corinthians 14:39
There is a difference between being a prophet and being able to do so.
1 Corinthians 12:4
Prophesies are gifts of grace.
Ephesians 4:8, 11
The character of a gift is very important.
The character of a gift could be prophet, apostle, teacher, pastor or evangelist.
Jesus gave these five gifts to the church.
There are people that don't go to church but are Christians.
You don't need to go to a church to be a Christian.
However to have one of these gifts one needs to be in a church because they were given to the church not to individuals.
Ephesians 4:12-13
1 Timothy 3:2
Of Jesus' disciples only one could be called a prophet, John.
A prophet is a person that God speaks through.
Also the words of a prophet needs to be judged, because they may be off or painful.
Therefore it is good to have a person like a pastor who knows the people to prevent these damaging words.
1 Corinthians 14:3
Prophesies can be in such detail it can be scary, but they are meant to encourage.
God is not in the habit of using this opportunity to judge or condemn people.
Acts 13:1-3
1 Timothy 4:14
The voice of The Lord is something that we covet and need in our lives.
We need to be brave and step out in faith.
On the list of people who will fall in the lake of fire, first is cowards. (Rev. 21:8)
Those who hunger and thirst are the people that The Lord would love to speak to.
God honors us when we hunger and thirst for Him.
God is the nicest person you will meet, he will always say comforting words to us.
His voice brings direction to our lives.
Luke 5 Jesus asked Peter and his friend to become fishers of men.

Closing prayer.

We celebrated the children who had some presentations to show us what has happened in their lives - photos and funny videos. The kid-worship team led us in a joyful worship.
Exodus 29:39-42
39 Offer one in the morning and the other at twilight.
40 With the first lamb offer a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil from pressed olives, and a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering.
42 "For the generations to come this burnt offering is to be made regularly at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting before the LORD. There I will meet you and speak to you;

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

1 Peter 1:10-12 (NIV)
10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care,
11 trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.
12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

1 Peter 2:4-5 (NIV)
4 As you come to him, the living Stone--rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him--
5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)
9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

Ephesians 4:11-12 (NIV)
11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,
12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up

John 14:12
12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

James 2:19-20 (NIV)
19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder.
20 You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?

Psalms 50:15 (NIV)
15 and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me."

Measures of faith

3/9/2014

Sunday 9 March 2014 notes
(There was no audio recording and the men were away for the weekend retreat)

Mrs. Georgina Trelenberg

Men and women think and view things differently.
Example - last Sunday pastor Trelenberg used a bullet for an object and today mrs. Trelenberg used baking supplies.
When God made man and woman He said "it is good".
Faith is like baking powder, without it the cake is flat.
Jesus wants us to move forward.
There are different measures of faith.
2 Corinthians 10:15 "Neither do we go beyond our limits by boasting of work done by others. Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our sphere of activity among you will greatly expand,"
We all have our own measure of fait.
However our measure needs to grow, and it does so by spending time with God and his word.
Faith is basically an action of obedience.
When we become overrun with problems we need to lean on our faith and God's grace.
Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."
Faith is being sure of what we hope for.
Faith is our propellant.
Eve was instructed not to eat the forbidden fruit, then came a second voice telling her to eat the fruit.
The world is begging for attention through our earthly senses.
But we need to listen with the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Faith is taking things for fact even though they aren't perceived through the senses.
When we are not in submission our strengths can turn against us and destroy us.
Satan hates our strength because they are the key to moving forward therefore he targets our strengths.
A good place to start sensing the voice of the Lord is by reading the bible.
When satan tempted Jesus via his senses, Jesus decided to suffer instead of listening to His sense of hunger.
When our sense start interfere with our growth it cause even more problematic emotions.
And there will be a season of difficulty in which our faith is tested.
When we want something from God during troubled time don't ask for things from God, declare them through faith.
We need to focus on our heavenly destiny.

Intentional faith

Sunday 2 March 2014 sermon notes. Listen to audio at link below.

Pastor Dwayne Trelenberg

Proverbs 14:4.
Human nature hasn't changed since the fall of man.
There is a fine line between human effort and living in the faith.
And living in faith has a lasting result.
So much we deal with in life is self induced.
When we backup away from all things that aren't godly, and listen to the Holy Spirit we can walk away from so many bad problems that can be either physical or mental.
We can be healed instantaneously.
In the word of God there is help.
Jesus is with us.
Jesus wants to be close to us and help us.
But the idea is not to fix ourselves that we can be better, we want to be so fixed up that we can give to others.
Living by faith can make us to prosperous so that we can give to others.
We should live very intentionally.
We approach Christianity unintentionally.
We need to deny ourselves and life for others.
If we are willing and intentionally and successfully walk by faith we will reap bountiful harvests.
Psalms 23:1-6.
The Bible is loaded with talk that covers a vast space.
There are two piles of healing: healing over time and healing instantly which is much smaller than healing over time.
If we allow truth to touch our lifestyle we will heal.
Living by faith is living intentionally.
Living by faith is recognizing that we have problems and asking for them to healed.
Galatians 6:7.
We will reap what we sow.
We should be honest that things aren't working, that things need to change we are doing what God wants and the Holy Spirit will talk to us.
God's way is not a drug that makes you feel better, it is a lifestyle.
It is for everyone who wants and chooses it.
Life is very unfair and unjust.
God does not get confused, with Him all things, all healing is possible.
But change is not sit back and let God do it, it will require get dirty and working at it.

Closing prayer.

7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
