1 Corinthians 2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ. NIV
Romans 8:6 The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; NIV

Jesus: Destroy the Devil's work & Free us from sin

Another wonderful experience of receive love and acceptance from the church family, and learning about God's great love for us. Pastor Dwayne told us that Jesus came to earth for 2 reasons: 1) Destroy the Devil's work & 2) Free us from sin. George shared a song that he received from the Holy Spirit this morning (the recording totally doesn't do justice to the sound, but it was an experience of the intimacy between God and his children. We are motivated to dedicate ourselves to Jesus and his service, so that we will see and experience how He can change people and Keremeos.

1 John 3:8 He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. NIV

Because of Jesus We are Free

"Fear and anxiety can be defeated by faith and love because Jesus set us free." This was an encouraging theme in pastor Dwayne's message.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. NIV
Galatians 5:6 ... The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
Isaiah 35:8-10 8 And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it. 9 No lion will be there, nor will any ferocious beast get up on it; they will not be found there. But only the redeemed will walk there, 10 and the ransomed of the LORD will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. NIV

Benefits of the Way

We celebrated communion while watching stunning video excerpts from "The Passion" mixed with the song "Amazing Love / How can it be". Many words were shared on the theme of healing and we watched the song "Mended" by Matthew West. Glenda and her team the a super job in leading the worship.
Pastor Dwayne Trelenberg shared from John 14:6 the Jesus is the Way, and we were promised many benefits by walking His Way.

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. NIV
Galatians 5:16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. NIV
Galatians 5:16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. NKJV
