some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.
The service was lead by people from Teen Challenge: Dr. Norman Bonk is an accomplished musician and brought songs of love and some favorite hymns; as well as the main message about sowing seed. Joanne Bonk told us about the new horse based ministry they are starting up. There were testimonies by Matt and Adrian about their experiences in the Teen Challenge program. Here is the recording as well as videos of some parts.

We are to be the light and the salt of the earth. What does it mean now here in Canada?
This Sunday was a rich service. Sheryll gave her testimony about miraculous healing and the power of God. Wilma shared her poem "2020 vision". And there were contributions by Georgina, Marina and Terese. You can listen to "How great Thou art" on youtube.
Pastor Dwayne continued with looking at the culture in Canada and the need for Christians to stand up for what is right. Too much salt or too little salt both can ruin a dish.
Marina gave an encouraging reminder on how to look at God's face.
Pastor Dwayne looked at our North American culture that is changing fast in a bad direction. We do not need to just passively observe it. Listen to the recording below and get out of you chair to do something!
George gave his testimony followed by short messages from Ferdi, Mike, pastor Dwayne Trelenberg and Georgina. George showed some historical slides. Ferdi shared the video clip below on healing miracles. There was an empty chair on stage - reminding people to get out of passivity and to do some good. Some of the video clips have poor sound. You may prefer to listen to the audio recording that is also included below.
Go to 9:00 in the next video clip for the relevant part.

Deuteronomy 23:3-6 3 No Ammonite or Moabite or any of his descendants may enter the assembly of the LORD, even down to the tenth generation. 4 For they did not come to meet you with bread and water on your way when you came out of Egypt, and they hired Balaam son of Beor from Pethor in Aram Naharaim to pronounce a curse on you. 5 However, the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam but turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loves you. 6 Do not seek a treaty of friendship with them as long as you live. Debra had her first opportunity to play the keyboard for worship - so fresh!
Pastor Dwayne was in and out of the chair numerous times. Listen to the recording to understand the dangers of trying to be a "good person". Pastor Dwayne shows a better way.

Pastor Dwayne told us more of the real situations in the land after Jesus' birth and what it costed them to flee to Egypt.
The Cost of Reward was pastor Dwayne's title of his Christmas message. A new perspective on the HUGE present we received from heaven.

How do we interpret the Bible from our personal viewpoints? How did our human nature improve over the last century? We heard revival stories from 1904 in Wales and 1984 in Argentina, watched a video clip on how God is still working: Powerful Holy Spirit Revival in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Pastor Dwayne Trelenberg was the main speaker.
2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. 4 Through these He has given us His precious and magnificent promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, now that you have escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
You can read The Story of the Welsh Revival by Eyewitnesses and more on the 1984 Argentina Revival.
Pastor Dwayne illustrated revival as it happened around Jesus and various movements thru the history, coming back to us and our position in God's revivals. Listen to the recording below.
Terese had her guitar in action for the first time since hand surgery - worship God with joy and love!
Georgina and Marina lead the worship via videos.
Terry Friesen was our visiting speaker with a clear prophetic message for Keremeos and Canada. It was so encouraging to look at our society and country from God's perspective rather than from the media's image.
Ezekiel 44:4 Then the man brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple. I looked and saw the glory of the LORD filling the temple of the LORD, and I fell facedown.
Exodus 33:18-23 18 Then Moses said, "Now show me your glory." 19 And the LORD said, "I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 20 But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live." 21 Then the LORD said, "There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen."
2 Chronicles 5:14 14 and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 19 Have you forgotten that your body is now the sacred temple of the Spirit of Holiness, who lives in you? You don’t belong to yourself any longer, for the gift of God, the Holy Spirit, lives inside your sanctuary. 20 You were God’s expensive purchase, paid for with tears of blood, so by all means, then, use your body to bring glory to God!
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 16 Don’t you realize that together you have become God’s inner sanctuary and that the Spirit of God makes his permanent home in you? 17 Now, if someone desecrates God’s inner sanctuary, God will desecrate him, for God’s inner sanctuary is holy, and that is exactly who you are.
Romans 8:19 The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.
Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the dazzling radiance of God’s splendor, the exact expression of God’s true nature—his mirror image! He holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of his spoken word. He accomplished for us the complete cleansing of sins, and then took his seat on the highest throne at the right hand of the majestic One.
Ephesians 2:6 6 He raised us up with Christ the exalted One, and we ascended with him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm, for we are now co-seated as one with Christ!
Ephesians 2:21-22 21 This entire building is under construction and is continually growing under his supervision until it rises up completed as the holy temple of the Lord himself. 22 This means that God is transforming each one of you into the Holy of Holies, his dwelling place, through the power of the Holy Spirit living in you!
Ephesians 3:14-20 14 So I kneel humbly in awe before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, 15 the perfect Father of every father and child in heaven and on the earth. 16 And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power. 17 Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life. 18–19 Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God! 20 Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you. John 7:38 38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."
Colossians 2:6-11 6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. 8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. 9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. 11 In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ,
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Colossians 2:15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
Marina brought a message on personal revival. Getting back to your first love with Jesus.
Matthew 9:37-38 NLT 37 He said to his disciples, "The harvest is great, but the workers are few. 38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields."
1 Corinthians 9:25-27 NLT 25 All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. 26 So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. 27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.
Philippians 3:12-13 NLT 12 I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,
Philippians 3:8-10 NLT 8 Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ 9 and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God's way of making us right with himself depends on faith. 10 I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death,
Luke 1:53 TPT Those who hunger for Him will always be filled, but the smug and self-satisfied He will send away empty.
Luke 6:20-21 NIV 20 Looking at his disciples, he said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. 21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied.
Song of Solomon 2:15 NLT Catch all the foxes, those little foxes, before they ruin the vineyard ...
Philippians 2:13 TPT God will continually revitalize you, implanting within you the passion to do what pleases him.
John 7:37-39 TPT “All you thirsty ones, come to me! Come to me and drink! Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!” Jesus was prophesying about the Holy Spirit that believers were being prepared to receive.
Hebrews 12:11 NLT No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening -- it's painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.
Hebrews 12:1-2 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne. NLT
Psalm 107:35-38 NLT 35 But he also turns deserts into pools of water, the dry land into springs of water. 36 He brings the hungry to settle there and to build their cities. 37 They sow their fields, plant their vineyards, and harvest their bumper crops. 38 How he blesses them! They raise large families there, and their herds of livestock increase.
Psalm 85:6 TPT Revive us again, O God! I know you will! Give us a fresh start! Then all your people will taste your joy and gladness.
Steve Hunt, our drummer, is leaving for 3 months to serve at Haggai International. We will miss him dearly - and he will miss the snow! ☺☻
Georgina shared a word and George a testimony on God's deliverance.
Mike brought the message today with rich encouragement and showing the way to get closer to God. You can listen to the recording and follow the scripture parts used below the photos. The last song we listened to was "I surrender" by Hillsong.
John 17:1-3 1 After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you. 2 For you have given him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him. 3 And this is the way to have eternal life-- to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. NLT
John 15:1-8 1 "I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn't produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. 3 You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. 4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. 5 "Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. 6 Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. 7 But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! 8 When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. NLT
Ephesians 3:17-19 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. NLT
Colossians 2:6-7 6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. NLT
Colossians 1:9-10 9 So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10 Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. NLT
2 Peter 3:18 Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen. NLT
Galatians 5:22-23 22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! NLT
1 Corinthians 12:7-11 7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. 8 To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. 9 The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. 10 He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. 11 It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have. NLT
Jason Legg and Andrea Quaedvlieg from Kelowna were leading our worship. The church was filled with little kids - what a fun time.
Pastor Dwayne gave a teaching on revivals with the emphasis of the 1904 revival in Wales that started with 17 people and eventually caused jails to be empty and the police having no work to do and pubs closing down due to a lack of demand for alcohol. In 1907 another powerful revival swept thru North Korea. The Welsh Revival of 1904-1905 and The North Korean Revival of 1907.
We celebrated communion with Ferdi & Marina leading. Pastor Dwayne showed the ways in which the Jews' traditions worked against God's plans. Jesus promised power and life that was seen on Pentecost day.
Matthew 15:1-2 1 Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, 2 "Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don't wash their hands before they eat!" NIV
Matthew 15:6-9 6 he is not to 'honor his father 'with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. 7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: 8 "'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'" NIV
John 20:19-22 19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. 21 Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. NIV
Matthew 28:19-20 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." NIV
John 14:12 NIV I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
Romans 8:11 NIV And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
Acts 1:8 NIV But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
Ezekiel 37:5 5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. NIV
Pastor Dwayne Trelenberg's message looked at the various persons under whose ministry revivals have started. It was titled "What does revival look like?" in his series on revival.
Matthew 28: 19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Acts 1:8 ► But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
First we had an awesome time of worship. Then today was the launch of our new team for the children's church. What a team! Pastor Dwayne showed us from history and the Bible what often happens after a revival. We were encouraged to seek more growth in our spiritual lives.
Revelation 2:4 Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. NIV
Revelation 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm - neither hot nor cold - I am about to spit you out of my mouth. NIV
Terese lead the worship time. There were encouraging messages included. Wilma gave her experience of the ladies' fall event and the following meeting where pastor Keri Harvey was speaking. Pastor Dwayne gave us an insightful overview of some recent revivals and history teaches us from there.
1 "Sing, O barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband," says the LORD.
2 "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.
3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.
4 "Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.
1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
4 There is one body and one Spirit - just as you were called to one hope when you were called
Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
A study (based on the 2010 world population of 6.9 billion) by The Pew Forum, says:
We had a wonderful worship service with Terese leading and quite a few encouraging messages that were recorded. Ferdi did the preaching and if you are in rush to get to the exciting sins, skip the first 10 minutes of the recording! :-)
We had a farewell-blessing for Jadiel. Mike brought a strong message about the Holy Spirit who is often ignored. We hope you'll find it enlightening.
2 Corinthians 3:8 Shouldn't we expect far greater glory under the new way,
now that the Holy Spirit is giving life?
2 Corinthians 3:17-18
17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord.
And the Lord --who is the Spirit-- makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into his glorious image.
2 Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not!
You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ.
3 How foolish can you be? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?
4 Have you experienced so much for nothing?
Surely it was not in vain, was it?
5 I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law?
Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.
Pastor Dwayne gave an overview of some revivals of the past in the Christian church and how differences were handled.
19 So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God's holy people. You are members of God's family. 20 Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. NLT
Pastors Lionel Batke and Shannon Stange visited us to share about the miracles that God is doing in His church all over the world. After the service we prayed for people to be healed and to receive the Holy Spirit.
◄ Isaiah 60:1-3 ►
1“Arise, shine; for your light has come,
And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
2“For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the LORD will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
3“Nations will come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
Have you been unsatisfied with your spiritual life and growth? Listen to Mike explaining from Romans 8 what it means to live (or walk) in Spirit. During worship we had a visiting pianist from the UK to help us.
Matthew 24:9-14 NIV 9 "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
1 Thessalonians 5:19 NLT Do not stifle the Holy Spirit.
