Pain

This was a sad week with Helga Boshoff who passed away on Thursday morning in her sleep. Pastor Dwayne gave a message on the pain we experience when things don't go the way we would have preferred.

Genesis 4:10 The LORD said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground. NIV
Genesis 6:6 The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. NIV
Hebrews 12:24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. NIV
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; KJV

Johan - so sorry to hear this news. Our prayers are with you. I will miss having Helga at camp - she was always enthusiastic and fun and so full of life. I enjoyed our chats and the meals we shared over the past few summers. The entire RockRidge Canyon community will miss her.

My heart aches and the tears flow, even now. I loved you my little sister. You prayed with incredible faith and believing in God through Christ, it happened. Only those who lives you touched know just how much of a prayer warrior you were.Now you sing with the angels and no one can tell you that you are too loud, or to praise God this way. Until we meet again sweet angel. So sorry for your loss Johan, and really our community as well.

My sincerest and heartfelt condolences to Johan and family. I will treasure our times together all the more having learnt of this - my most unexpected passing away of Helga.
