The man called Jesus:
Is recorded in many places like roman history
We celebrate the birth of Christ
Christmas began not in His time
He wasn't born December 25
We do not know when he was born but we know that he was
It does not matter when we celebrate his birth
So long as we celebrate His birth
He impacted the world in a deep way
No one will ever impact the world like he did
Matthew 1:18-24
Mary is found with child before she was married and now Joseph doesn't want to make her a public example
Jesus' name should have been Joseph like his father
Luke 2:13-14
The shepherds are visited by the angles
Jesus didn't rub in our sin he rubbed it out
Jesus straightened us out
We are drawn to God
Why were the wise men compelled to bring gifts
They gave the best of the best
They were able to live off his gifts for years
We do not known when the wise men visited the child it could have been up to 2 years after his birth
We cannot give presents to Jesus so we do our best give to our friends and family around us
Christmas has been commercialized
Us Christians complain about that
But we still buy gifts at Christmas
However when we do that we are blessing businesses
We get a sense of giving at Christmas
But we can't give any thing to Jesus so we give to others
Jesus will be given to you to save you from your sins
God began the greatest Well fare program
What we have today was absent then. Peace? Good will?
It is different now from the way it was then
We get wrapped up by the holy spirt and we look much better than we really are
No materials are more valuable than people, humans
Through Jesus' birth we become gifts
We all have stories about we have been unwrapped
We can't understand what God has done for us
His impact was bigger than any event that has or will happen
